Position: Riding Instructor

Description: 

Riding for the Disabled Association of Singapore is looking for a Riding Instructor to provide progressive therapeutic riding lessons to disabled adults and children, to assist with horse training, to develop a Para Equestrian squad and to support its team of volunteer instructors.

This is a special position, which requires someone with good interpersonal skills, a strong team player and able to work independently along with the ability to work well under pressure and multi task.

Minimum qualification to the British equivalent of an AI. Training in Hippo therapy would be an advantage.

Position: Equestrian Manager / Chief Riding Instructor

Description: 

A club in Singapore with approx 100 stables split between private livery and riding school is recruiting an Equestrian Manager/Chief Riding Instructor.

The Equestrian Manager will be directly responsible for the performance of the Riding School providing daily lessons and schooling of the horses. The main aim is to grow and develop riding in this section with improved revenue and profit as the outcome. The Equestrian Manager is also expected to advise and assist livery members with their own horses on a variety of matters from horse welfare to appropriate training programs particularly with young and/or difficult horses. 

Qualities and Characteristics

The applicant needs to be highly motivated, have good leadership qualities and be able to make sound decisions readily. A high level of organization for self and others is important. Experience in working and managing an equestrian facility is essential as are appropriate qualifications in riding and teaching for both disciplines of dressage and show jumping. A sound knowledge in general horsemanship is expected and some experience in running horse competitions would be beneficial.  A reasonable knowledge of computer programs and profit and loss budgets is required. Strong communication skills in English as well as a sympathetic understanding of working in a multi-cultural environment are necessary.

The position requires a re-location to Singapore and a minimum 2 year contract. A competitive remuneration package is being offered.
